St. Theresa Hospital — Nkoranza, Ghana

St. Theresa Hospital in Nkoranza, Ghana, was established in 1971. For over 50 years, this hospital — which serves the health needs of over 250,000 people — had only one operating room, forcing doctors to choose which life to save during emergencies. The goal was to raise funds to build four additional operating and recovery rooms, along with other spaces, to address this critical problem. The project began in January 2024 and was completed and inaugurated on February 14, 2025. Today, more than seven surgeries are performed every day, and over 250 free surgeries are performed annually for those who cannot afford them.
