School Project

Mt. Carmel Girl's Senior School was established about 20 years ago and currently has about 1,200 young women. It is the only Girls' Senior High boarding school in Ghana's Bono East region and is owned by the Catholic Diocese of Techiman.

For years, the school has struggled with inadequate infrastructure. Each year, many young women seeking admission are denied admission for lack of space. Through generous donations from a few families of St. Joseph Key West Parish and another generous family outside the parish, a 250-bed dormitory block was built for the school. The project started in February 2025 and was completed and inaugurated in January 2026.

The dormitory addition now gives these young women access to quality education that improves their lives at the boarding school.
